Pregnancy hair growth, not what you think.....?

I know all about the hormones and increased hair growth typical during pregnancy...

The thing is, I've noticed the opposite... I have to shave my legs, pluck my eyebrows, etc only a fraction of what I did before I got pregnant... Anyone else experience this? Was the baby a boy or a girl, just for fun :)

During my second pregnancy I realized that the hair under my armpits went blond ( I am a brunette!) I thought I was crazy so I asked my obgyn, she said to enjoy it and hormones make your body do some crazy stuff during pregnancy! I had a boy by the way! :)

sorry...i'm 19 weeks preggo with twins and my hair is growing like crazy! i wish i could be of more help except to say that every pregnancy is different and every woman is different! best of luck!

It usually means your diet needs a bit of a boost. The prenatal is supposed to help balance out your baby's vitamin and mineral needs. For whatever reason, there is less left over for you than there would normally be. Its not bad for the baby, but you might want to increase your fruits and veggies so your own body is being taken care of better.

My hair did not grow either, which was nice becasue i normally grow hair really fast. What i did notice was that i grew hair on my belly - gross yes but all part of the package and apparently very common in pregnancy...especially if you are having boys; i had 2.

My hair got thin and lost its luster with all 3 of my kids...But everyone is different...And afterwords it took awhile for things to get back to normal..But then my first 2 were 11 months apart..lol!!!

I'm the same way lol, I haven't really shaved my legs in weeks just from the lack of time and my hair isn't long at all, and you can't even feel it when rubbing them. Crazy.

And he's a boy! will be here no later than 8 days, guess I should really shave my legs before going into labour huh?
