Well I heard from my step-sister that she had a friend who's hair was thinning out and she went to a dermatologist that told her there wasn't at that time this was about 25yrs. ago anything medical that he could give her but he recommended off the record joy dish soap. He said that what happens is the pores in the scalp become clogged with our natural oil and dirt from the air and slowly close up around the hair until it pinches it off. And what the dish soap does is it cleans all the oil and dirt out of the pores. But I wouldn't use it more than a couple times a week and use conditioner and hot oil treatments as well.
