The wax needs something to grip onto, a bit of stubbly hair will not grip so the wax just pulls away taking very little hair at all, more hair better waxing, but it hurts especially on the sack Ouch !

If the hair is too short there will be nothing for the wax to stick to. Generally it should be at least 4mm long for there to be enough hair for it to stick to for it to have the strength to pull the hair out.

if the hair hasnt grown enough when you go for the waxing it will not be able to remove the hair, then within a short time you will have hair growth again. its best to leave it grow a bit so that the wax will be able to remove it from the root and this will allow you to wait a while before you next waxing.

You need at least 2 weeks of growth for it to be long enough and less pain full!!! it doesn't really hurt that much depending on what you get waxed, Eyebrows hurt don't wear make up as you Will get red lines above your eyes this will go after 4-6 hours. Most waxing are best done when you have adequate growth and always use a good qualified beauty therapist if you are doing it yourself follow the instructions or your could end up with a nasty rash!! If your hair is too short then waxing will not work. There has to be enough hair for the wax and strips to adhere to. Some waxes/sugars are better than others so may work on shorter hairs.
