How to measure hair growth on face ?

I want to know what is growth of hair (accuracy upto 0.1 mm) after my last shave, kindally help me.

How to measure hair growth on face ?

How quickly does hair grow

It depends. If you just got a really bad hair cut, then hair seems like it does not grow at all, while hair that you have to shave every day seems to grow like a weed!

Ignoring these perceptual differences, human hair seems to grow at a pretty consistent rate of about half a millimeter or so per day, or about half an inch every month (this study quotes a specific rate of 0.44 mm per day). It may grow faster or slower depending on your age, your genetics and your hormonal state (pregnancy seems to have an affect on hair), but half a millimeter per day is a good average.

What this means is that the maximum growth rate for hair is about 6 inches (15 cm) per year. If you have short hair and are thinking, "It sure would be nice if I had hair down to my waist," then you are going to have about a four-year wait !

___ ___ ___ ___

ahh, ok .... get you now !

%26gt;%26gt; that is interesting indeed %26amp; my apologies for mis-interpreting your question

first off, this question does not fit here

best in medical section %26gt; cute nurses with nice probes attending you

else in engineering section %26gt; %26amp; my way's are not paricularly kind !

easier would be to measure a single fella

use a permanent marker to dot one folicle

get a shave

next day, get a barber for a shave %26amp; shave off the rest of the landing area minus the single stubble

now measure

vernier calliper depth gauge would be crude

laser diameter / distance sensors should give you readings in microns (0.001 mm) accuracy with an error of 2 to 3 microns

a travelling microscope or similar with cross-hair should do the job too, but with lower accuracy
