Hair growth during pregnancy question!?

I noticed that the hair on my legs grows super-fast now. I have to shave every day instead of 2x per week. I also see little hairs on my chin, which I tweeze. After I have the baby, will my hair growth pattern get back to normal?

I don't want to be a Sasquatch forever!

lol yes it will get back to normal "What to Expect when you're Expecting" says it could take up to 6 months though yuck I am experiencing the same thing. PS enjoy shaving your legs while you can still reach them. :)

A month or so after the baby is born this will go away. I had the few face hairs, but when it came to my legs for some reason it slowed there. I always have to shave every day, but when I was pregnant I could skip a day.

Are you having a boy? The added testosterone can increase hair growth. Also your pre-natal vitamin could be doing it as well. I became very hairy on my face when I was pregnant with my son.

It's because of the harmones in your body. Very normal. I have 3 girls and 1 boy. All of which had a head full of hair. But, the boy, when I was PG with him, I had hair all over..omg..I was like holy cow. yes all your hair growth will go back to normal , while pregnant our hair is suspended in the growth phase. after you give birth all the hair on your tummy and arms and legs will go back to normal, it's a bummer I have almost given up shaving all together I'm prickly by the end of the day! but only 5 weeks to go i think I will survive! 34 weeks and few days with baby Xander!

yup everything will go back to normal it takes a while even that thin line on ur stomach will disappear u wont notice it when it goes away give it 6 months!

It's the change in your hormones, it might not get back to normal straight after you've had your baby because it takes awhile for your hormones to stabilise but it should do sooner or later.

See your doctor if it gets a problem, they can do a blood test to measure your hormone levels.

I am a pale skinned, very hairless woman of Irish descent (my body hair is blonde). However, since becoming pregnant there is hair everywhere!!!! And some of it is dark!! Yikes!! I rarely shave because I am so hairless usually.....but today I'm going over to get waxed!!!!

Dont worry yourself. It eill all go back to narmal when the baby is here. Its just one of the many things that charge. The one thing to remember while you are pregnant you hair on your head will grow fast, become think and shinny. Sadly when the baby is here a few months later you will find a chance in that so dont worrry its normal.

Lol! I am hairy all over! I have hair on my belly now too, ewww, my fiance teases me that I have a more prominent happy trail than he does now, lol, thats not quite true but it is pretty bad. My legs, as well as my (well you know, woman parts) grow hair like someone coated them with rogain or miracle grow. I try and keep up with shaving everything but I am now 35 weeks and figure if I can't see it (which I can't AT all anymore) then it doesn't matter. LOL! I have been told it will all go back to normal as long as you don't shave your belly and stuff like that....but who knows! I am praying that it does! Until then I will be a sasquatch too!

I feel so terrible for the OB, lol, its going to probably feel like helping an ape give birth....haha....that puts a silly visual in my head!
