Excess Hair growth, anyone?

Has anyone used Estelle 35 to reduce the hair growth on their face? I've been prescribed it but having never been on the pill, I'm really nervous about starting this given all the side effects. I'm curious as to whether Estelle-35 actually does help and if so, how quickly for most people?

I have never used Estelle 35 but have used a pill similar to it called Yasmin. It can help with the excess hair growth because of another ingredient in it that comes from a medicine called Aldactone.

Aldactone is a medication that reduces testosterone levels in women who have problems with a condition called PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). One of the symptoms of PCOS can be excess hair growth.

I had problems with the Yasmin during the first week of use and then settled down and later had to go off for a different problem.

Another pill similar to the Estelle (and may be a generic of it also) is one called Diane 35 which I've heard some women say they have good results with.

It can take about 3 months for the pill to become effective.
