I have been growing my hair for almost 6 months now and it is just about an inch long. I have taken good care of it i.e shampoo with head and shoulders everyday and i also comb it while wet to detangle it. I've done all hair growth tips like drink water and eat fruits %26amp; vegetables still no luck. Are there any products i can use that are accessible in the u.k Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is a picture of my current hair state http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z128/...
Afro hair growth Help!!!!?
Afro hair DOESN'T GROW SLOW but is fragile and dry which makes it prone to breakage and most people with afro hair don't treat it right and gives it enough moisture so breaks at the same rate it grows.
If you put anything on your scalp don't use grease becuase it has in mineral oil and petroleum which clog your scalp and slows down growth. only use hair butters like shea butter and light oils like jojoba oil, coco nut oil, tea tree oil, carrot oil or even castor oil.
afro hair love moisture so try and wash your hair once a week (i have a huge afro and i do this). do conditioner washes which gives your hair moisture and clean it gentally and to do it only use conditioner.
non-moisturising shampoos dry out your hair, it cleans it but takes out moisture so try and use it every two weeks.
try and do a deep conditioning treatment every 2 or 3 weeks to give your hair moisture.
when you sleep use a silk or satin scarf to stop friction and stop your hair drying out.
onyl use a wide tooth comb to comb your hair so not comb out to much hair.
good shampoos and conditioner are creme of nature red label for shampoo and purple or green label creme or nature for conditioner.
a good moisturiser is Weave Nouveau Moisturizing Lotion or daily Humectant Moisturizing Lotion , organic root simulator Shea Butter Moisturizer ,Care Free Curl Curl Activator , care free curl Instant Moisturizer or Care Free Curl gold Instant ACTIVATOR / MOISTURIZER .
make sure you moisturise your afro a few times a week because afor hair love moisture and is naturally dry.
do this and your hair won't break and it won't break so it will retain what it has grown and you will see imporment.
also all hair only grows half a inch a month so wait.

Afro hair growth Help!!!!?
Afro hair is notoriously slow to grow, and unfortunately i have no tips for you which would make your hair grow quickly.
My only piece of advice is to try using products such as 'dark and lovely' which are formulated specifically for afro-carribean hair.
Also, afro hair needs to have oil applied to it twice a week, to stop the scalp drying out and should not be we washed daily, but three times a week maximum, otherwise you are just stripping nutrient hair oils.
Good luck with trying to make your hair grow, i know how fustrating it can be to have afro hair which refuses to grow, so try to be patient with it, and dont forget to apply oil to your scalp and to use conditioners formulated for afro hair.
Below is a link to some afro hair products that you can order online.

First African Americans should never wash their hair every day. We are to wash our hair every 10-12 days. The reason why shamppos removes the natural oils from our hair.
You need to message your scalp with the balls of your fingers while using a hair dressing that contains natural herbs, vitamins and minerals. I use Doo Gro Lotion.
