Can hair growth be suppressed this way?

I know this may be a dumb question, but I was on yahoo answers so why not ask. When you sleep on your side, does it suppress that side's hair/sideburn growth? Because there's no room for the hair to grow, so does it mess up the growth?

nope. mens facial hair is much more coarse than regular downy (or lanugo- what's all over your body) hair. sleeping even with your hand on the side of your face will not impede the growth of sideburns. not even a little bit! you've got nothing to worry about babe, your new sideburns are here to stay! so sleep, sleep away... the chicks will still be able to see the fluff in the morning.

your hair will grow rgardless, however it is more prone to getting broken off/ thin becuase you are laying on that side and moving around and it "rubs".. the friction can cause hair to break off but probably not a large amount.. kind of like how babies have a bald spot becuase they are laying down a lot and their hair is so very fine and the rubbing against the bed or what not kind of rubs at their hair cuasing it to not get any longer
