I've been growing my hair as of late and I don't really wanna style it with gel or anything until im done... does wearing a baseball hat decrease hair growth?

I have over 20 years of dealing with hair. It doesn't affect the growth...BUT!%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; You will get mechanical damage, the hat scrubs the hair shaft, and it will look like it. It defiantly breaks the hair off.
