I have a friend who recommends using the nutritional supplement Biotin. She said after surgery, depression and medications, her hair was horribly thin. Now her hair looks great at below the shoulder length. Worth a try, I guess.

It's amazing how many things will affect hair growth.

1) stress!!! This will inhibit growth, so try to eliminate excessive stressors in your life

2) diet. A normal multivitamin will contain all of standard vitamins that will have an affect.

3) hair products/style. Wearing your hair in a tight ponytail will pull out hair faster and thin your hair. Washing too frequently will dry out hair and cause strands to break at a shorter length. Blow-drying/straighting/chemicals will have similar negative impacts on your hair.
