Facial hair growth?

Now im sure ive asked this before, but it takes me a really long time to grow facial hair. Im 17 and it takes me like four days to get a little stubble on my chin and upper lip (and those are the only places i have it). Is this normal, or slow, or what, because every other guy in my school, including half the freshman, can grow like full beards?!

And its not my genetics: all guys on both my mom and dads sides of the family are really hairy and could grow beards when they were my age.

it is COMPLETELY normal, and it is genetics, not all of your genetic traits are inherent male traits, the growth of facial hair has to do with the release of hormones at certain points in one's development, a thing about genetics is that genes go back to the beginning of time, not just the people who were present when you were born. and..... genes have this habit of spontaneously changing otherwise we would all still look like cro-magnon men. regardless.... shaving is an ordeal that, after a few years of doing it, becomes monotanous and boring. While most male teens see facial hair as a passage into adulthood and a sign of one's masculinity, most male thirty-somethings would gladly give you theirs.

19.....same issue, don't worry about it if your keep your face shaved it'll start coming in stronger and thicker.

It might speed up later. Maybe not, maybe it just grows slow. People probably think that you aren't interested in growing facial hair, and that you shave often......

Im also 17 and it takes me a good 3 days before a good bit of stubble gets a'going but puberty takes different amounts of time for differnt people
