It really depends on the person's natural hair growth rate. (that's what my stylist has always told me) However, nutrition stores and even places like walgreens carry a hair, skin, and nail growth herbal supplement. But read the packaging before you buy or take any pills.

Vitamins A, C, E, and B. Including Biotin. A good multivitamin that contains Biotin will help. Also you can get the Biotin shampoo at the GNC and use that. I feel it did make my hair grow, but there is some discrepancies for other people. My hair grows really fast to begin with though. Anyways, don't use prenatals unless you are pregnant as they aren't good for you if you are not pregnant because the body can't get rid of the non soluble vitamins that it doesn't need and it can make you really sick. Thats why I say get a good multi-vitamin for women/men if you are a guy and a bottle of biotin supplements as well as eat right, and use the shampoo. Also trim your hair before you get split ends, so that more doesn't have to be trimmed later. The actual trimming doesn't make the hair grow, its the trimming so it doesn't break later that does the trick to make it seem like it grows faster. As it grows keep some layers in it to lighten the weight of the hair and give the illusion of more length. Angled sides in longer hair also adds the illusion of length, but its all optional.
