She has soft, curly hair. I don't understand why it just won't grow in the back, I wash her hair every wk and she rarely sleeps on the back of her head to stop it from growing. If anyone knows some good hair growth for black babies it would be much appreciated. thank you.

It will grow eventually :) Both my girls were born with a massive head full of hair and it rubbed away at the back. They are 3 and 5 now and have beautiful long hair x

It will grow in its own. My little girl hardly had any hair till she was nearly 2 although she had loads at birth. It is normal.

My kids all have either no hair or little hair at birth, then it falls out around 4 months and grows back a new colour. and it takes AGES to grow back. by the time theyre 2, they have a bit, then all of a sudden it just grows like a weed!!

well in america people mostly dont shave thier babies head. in most of other cultyures specially in asia....babies get thier heads shaved atleast 2-3 times in first year. i had same prob with my baby. she had no hair on back, sides. after 3 shaves she has more hair then before.

Is she on her back a lot? You see my 5 month old baby boy had the same thing, and he was just laying on that one side. But 11 month old seems a little strange.But honestly thats probably all it is, its better to be safe though you should see your doctor, but im pretty sure they will tell you the same thing. No i dont think they have any hair growth products, plus i probably wouldnt give it to your little girl. Just see what your doctor saids he will put your mind at ease. Good luck :-)

There is nothing for that for children at all. You just have to be patient. You might want to stimulate that part of her scalp by getting a soft bristle baby hair brush and running it in circles over that part of her scalp. It will help remove any dead skin and oils that might be stopping her hair from growing. Other than that there isnt much you can do.

DON"T USE ANY HAIR GROWTH PRODUCTS ON A BABY!! You don't want to expose her to all the chemicals in them. Every child's hair grows at its on rate and there's nothing you can do to spead it up. Be patient, style the top and sides cute and before you know it you'll be staring at a full thick head of hair with a comb in hand wondering why you ever wanted it to grow!!
