I read an article somewhere on the internet concerning using "An Whole Egg" in shampoo for "speedy" hair growth. As a Natural Haircare Stylist I am aware of the protein contents in egg-yolks. I was just wondering seriously has anyone ever tried this for rapid hair growth? If so what was YOUR results to doing this?
Have anyone used an whole egg in their shampoo for hair growth %26amp; if so what were the results?
My mom is in her 70s, and that is actually one of her beauty secrets that she actually use an whole egg when she washes her hair. It seem to work on her, her hair is actually maintain its regular amount of hair on. It does give her a nature shine. But no, I haven't use it at all.

ive never done it but im assuming it would just coat the hair in proteins therefore creating body. I doubt it would help with 'speedy' growth, and is probably one of those myths of haircare.

I have use egg in protein treatments and I guess the so called speedy growth claim comes from it stopping breakage by strengthening the hair. I actually use a concentrated commercial kind though- Aphogee Protein Treatment - I once had a coloring disaster and my hair fell out and I use it once a month and my hair went from 3 1/2 inches to 13 over a year. I think the average growth rate is about 6 inches a year so it was not that much of a miracle but my hair was ridiculously damage and it stopped breaking and was extremely healthy with regular use of the treatment (which smelled like Hell).

I don't know about speeding the process, but anything with protein in it is good to scrub hair with to keep it healthy

I did, it didn't work. The best natural thing to use so far is aloe-vera gel. If you go to natural/organic product store they usually sell aloe-vera leaves. Cut the middle part, and use the jelly thing in the middle of the leaves. Put it in the blender. After that put it around your scalp and wrap your hair with warm towel. Leave it for 1 hour. It's awesome..

Hair grows from the inside and the dead part is outside of your head. You can make the hair look better with protein reconstructors and conditioners - there are tons on the market. Try a good brand. Redken, Joico and L'Anza are supposed to be some of the best.
If you want your hair to grow faster %26amp; healthier, eat a balanced diet, protein, and take vitamins, esp. Biotin to help it out.
I wouldn't bother with the egg thing.
