Hair growth lotion?

this is not racist AT ALL i swear, but this is the only way i know how to ask it, my hair has been breaking alot lately and i cant find hair growth stuff anywhere, aside from vitamins, while at walmart today i found this stuff called profective megga growth lotion,and it was by stuff for weaves and relaxers, it was the only growth stuff though, is it really meant for people of color ONLY or anyone, cause it put it on my hair and it made it stringy and oily? also if anyone else has used it what do u think about it

well if your hair is breaking, you should not be using any kind of growth lotion...especially for ethnic hair if you are not ethnic. what you want to do, is prevent further breakage. you need a protein treatment done to your hair. my suggestion is that you go to a salon and get one- if not, go to cvs and pick up some protein or cholesterol or some kind of deep conditioning treatment along with a shower cap and follow the directions it gives you. i'd also buy special shampoo for damaged hair....other shampoos are much too harsh for hair in that condition and may cause even further breakage. make sure you only shampoo your hair like twice a week or as little as possible before it gets noticeably dirty. good luck.
